SAN ANTONIO -- Texas Bariatric Specialists announces that Dr. Nilesh A. Patel has been recognized as one of San Antonio’s 2006 “Top Doctors” in Scene in SA Monthly magazine’s second annual survey of the city’s doctors. Dr. Patel was recognized by his peers in the Bariatric Surgery specialty practice category.
Texas Bariatric Specialists (TBS) is the private practice of Dr. Patel and his associates Dr. Ramiro “Sonny” Cavazos and Dr. John “JJ” Gonzalez, and serves the San Antonio, South Texas and New Mexico markets.
In addition to TBS, Dr. Patel is director of bariatric surgery for Innova Hospital in San Antonio, as well as the associate director of bariatric surgery and a clinical assistant professor in the department of surgery for the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
