Local police arrest alleged Mississippi drug trafficker

FLORESVILLE -- Police arrested Miguel Frank Garcia, 38, on Sept. 26 for violating his probation after he left Vicksburg, Miss. He had been awaiting trial there on the charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
The Floresville Police Department was tipped off to possible narcotics trafficking at a house near Third and F streets, Assistant Chief Andy Joslin said. Officers obtained consent to search from the homeowner and found Garcia inside.
Using a K-9 unit, police found no narcotics, but they did find that Garcia had an outstanding warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals, Joslin said.
Detective George Ortiz and Sgt. Lorenzo Herrera were the arresting officers, and Officer Devin Keen handled the K-9 unit.
