ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Gregorio Escamilla Jr., a longtime resident of Falls City, Texas, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at 6:10 p.m. in his home, at the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

He was born Jan. 3, 1936, to Gregorio Escamilla Sr. and Cruz Villarreal Escamilla in El Oso.

Gregorio married Emilia Gonzales on Sept. 2, 1967, in Three Rivers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Gregorio is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Emilia Escamilla of Falls City; daughters Teri Reyes and husband Javier of Poth and Telia Escamilla of Falls City; granddaughters Alyson Reyes of Poth and Emylea Escamilla of Falls City; stepgranddaughter Stephanie Samuel and husband Scott of Virginia; step-grandson Christopher Reyes of San Antonio; step-great-grandson Jackson Samuel of Virginia; one brother and one sister, both of El Oso; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

Visitation began at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Poth.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Sunday in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery and officiated by Deacon Alan Crosby, where interment followed.

Serving as pallbearers were Theodore Rios, Joe Molina, Manuel Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales Jr., Ray Martinez, and Roy Sixto.
