I don't contradict myself. God doesn't exist. Therefore cannot be active in the world. I direct your attention to the Epicurean paradox. The world is a festering pool of hatred, violence, and fundamentalism because of religion. Countless atrocities have been committed by nearly every religion in the name of their respective god, Christianity and Islam being the biggest offenders. If god existed he'd never have allowed this, logically. IF a god exists that lacks logic, then he's fallible and not truly a god. Therefore, god is a construct of man, not the other way around.

You want real hypocrisy? How about the most common argument christians use for creation? "Everything is so complex it HAD to be created rather than develop from a quantum singularity and simpler forms of life." Well, the problem there is, that the creator would have to me much more complex than the creation. This argument shoots itself in the foot, because the creator would have to be created, and so on and so forth. At some point something came from nothing, either way.

Evolution isn't a religion. A theory, in scientific terms, cannot become such without base evidence, and empirical or observable evidence, or both. Which there is. Show me a list of scientists that say evolution isn't scientifically sound, and I'll show you a bunch of ignorant fools that most likely aren't biologists and are intent on further perpetuating the creationist lie. The evidence for evolution is over whelming and irrefutable. The majority of the scientific community, SPECIFICALLY biologists, who are the only group of scientists truly qualified to have ANY say on evolution or anything regarding the development and workings of living things, stick by evolution because of how much evidence there is to support it. There's still not a single shred of real evidence to support "intelligent design" or any creation story.

I suppose you're going to say the 2nd law of thermodynamics disproves evolution, like most church members do, because your pastor said so. Well he's wrong, and you're wrong. Thermodynamics doesn't apply to living organisms, and furthermore, the 2nd law of thermodynamics applies only to CLOSED SYSTEMS. The earth is not nor has it ever BEEN a closed system.


"Free Will" is the excuse christians use for why god doesn't do anything to fix the problems we have on this planet. Yet in the bible, god intervenes NUMEROUS times, so that argument doesn't hold up. In the old testament he kills millions of people for exercising free will.

"Sin" doesn't exist either. That's a word that's part of the fear tactics that are the base of your belief system and the core of spreading it's plague of ignorance. Actions are based on motives, and motives are often left out of things.

Here's an example of why sin is a flawed idea. One of the ten commandments is "thou shalt not kill" (Hardee har har, even your god doesn't follow his own rules.) Therefore, killing is a sin, correct?

A man kills another man. Has he sinned? Answer that before you read beyond this sentence.

He killed the other man because the man he killed was a threat to the safety of his wife and children. Is he still a sinner? If you say yes, then you're a horrible person. If you say no, then you're a hypocrite because according to the ten commandments, that is supposed to be the moral core of your religion, and the god you worship who supposedly wrote them, say it is a sin. Wrap your minds around that.

Danny,you say we have a lie-based religion yet you believe in evolution(fossils and the last link).As I mentioned earlier, Science itself is saying that it is a fraud.As for the presidents,so what if they were free masons under the radar?As I mentioned earlier there was a reason for the false mask,they knew the majority of the ealy americans believed in God.They needed their vote.Also yes,God does not force us to believe in Him.We have freewill.We christians choose to believe and you don't because of that freewill.If we didn't have that freewill,the world would be pretty much be robotic.All of us,even us christians are sinners and will be held accountable for our actions.

You contradict yourself, Danny, to say that the world is the way it is because God is not active and then you say it is the result of religion more than godlessness. So which is it? Religion, or the lack of God?? Actually, the REAL answer is that, God, indeed is alive and active in our world. HOWEVER, when God created man, He gave us free will. THAT, my friend, is why the world is the way it is. Because we are all sinners, man (& I use that term generically) chooses -- by his own free will -- to follow self rather than God. SIN is the reason the world is the way it is.

If god was active it wouldn't be the festering cesspool that it is, and most of it is the result of religion's influence more than any godlessness. Fundamentalism of any kind is a threat to the future and peace of mankind, as history has shown. History, as they say, repeats itself. But that's only because mankind allows it through repeating the same cycles of religious and political fundamentalism.

Politics is as big a problem as religion, but since Religion developed first, it must be eliminated first. No deity is real, nor ever has been.

Actions DO speak louder than words, after all. However words such as that are amplified by actions that follow suit.

Could it have been followed by "IF our Congress and Supreme Court don't respect it for what it says ..." The little snippet from Aaron Russo alone does not tell us anything.

People seem to think that the forefathers were anymore upfront with their private lives and views than the politician's we have today.

Wendy's counter quotes may have come from biographies, but they weren't Autobiographies and all her quotes came from public statements. All of my Jefferson and Lincoln quotes were from private letters.

Same with James Madison.

Politicians say and do things in private that they'd never say to the public. Like George W. Bush, our current president.
