Wilson County, Floresville
White-tailed Deer -- Archery Season: Sept. 27-Oct. 31. No permit required to hunt antlerless deer unless MLD permits have been issued for the property. General Season: Nov. 1-Jan. 4.
Buck bag limit: 2 (to include no more than 1 with an inside spread of 13 inches or greater). A legal buck deer is a deer having at least one unbranched antler, or an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. The inside spread requirement does not apply to any buck having an unbranched antler. These provisions do not apply on properties for which Level 2 or Level 3 MLDPs have been issued.
Antlerless bag limit: 2, by antlerless permit only.
Special Youth-Only Season: Oct. 25-26, and Jan. 17-18. Licensed hunters 16 years of age or younger may hunt deer by any lawful means during this season. Bag limits, provision for the take of antlerless deer, and special requirements of the county, shall be as specified for the first 2 days of the general open season.
Javelina -- No closed season. Bag limit: 2 per license year.
Squirrel -- No closed season. No bag limit.
Turkey -- Archery Season: Sept. 27-Oct. 31. Fall Season: Nov. 1-Jan. 4 (either sex). Spring Season: Rio Grande turkey: March 21-May 3 (gobblers only). Special Youth-Only Season: Rio Grande turkey: March 14-15 and May 10-11. Bag Limit: 4, all seasons combined. Eastern turkeys limited to one.
Quail -- Oct. 25-Feb. 22. Daily bag limit: 15. Possession limit: 45.
Dove -- Sept. 20-Nov. 9 and Dec. 26-Jan. 13. Daily Limit: 12. Possession Limit: 24.
