ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Edward “Eddie” Friesenhahn, 41, of St. Hedwig, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009. He was born on March 11, 1967.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Lennie Friesenhahn; and his grandfathers, Vernon Friesenhahn and Emil Mikolayczk.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Doris and Willie Padalecki; his brother, Charles “Skooter” Friesenhahn; his sister-in-law, Ginger; and his little niece, Callie, whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Helen Mikolayczk and Charlcie Friesenhahn.

Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 30, from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, with interment following in the St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery.

I met Eddie when he lived in West Chester, PA. He was very warm and considerate. He was a great neighbor and offered to dog sit for me many times. He even sent me pictures of my dog while I was away on business and homesick. ... More ›
