Red envelope campaign protests abortion

The Born Alive Infant Protection Act, originally proposed in 2001, was designed only to compel hospital staff to grant medical treatment to those infants born alive following an “unsuccessful” abortion. The law passed easily in the U.S. Senate, and various forms of the bill passed many other state legislatures.

To counteract the current radical views coming from the
White House on abortion, there is a national campaign to send a “Red
Envelope against Abortion” to the White House. Please purchase a red
envelope and one stamp. Address the envelope to President Barack Obama, The
White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20500.

Turn the envelope over and seal it. Write the following on
the back of the envelope: “This envelope represents one child who died
because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now
unable to be a part of our world.”

Please mail this on or slightly before March 31. The goal
is to swamp the White House with millions of red envelopes in the hope that
it will soften Obama’s position on abortion.

Publisher’s note: Red envelopes are available in the Wilson County News
office, 1012 C St. in Floresville.

Becky read your history. Lets see women rights in the 16 and 17 century. Women were considered chattel, could not vote, in many states could not own property. If a husband beat his wife it was not a crime. I do not think you ... More ›
