As part of a unified and nation-wide campaign of protests, members of the San Antonio and Boerne Tea Parties will gather on Friday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m., at the local offices of every federally elected legislator, to include that of Senators John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison, and Representatives Charlie Gonzales, Henry Quellar and Ciro Rodriguez.
The San Antonio Tea Party -- in concert with other Tea Parties across the nation -- will present petitions against upcoming legislation regarding a nationalized health care program, an amnesty for illegal immigrants, the so-called “cap and trade” bill, and legislation regarding “hate crimes”. The San Antonio Tea Party collected over 1,200 signatures on these petitions at our recent 4th of July event at the Rio Cibolo Ranch, and are taking additional signatures through our website, http://www.sanantonioteaparty.org .
Information regarding other Tea Party organizations and planned activities can be found at http://www.teapartypatriots.org |
