Public Speaking/Customer Service, La Vernia fundraising company seeking enthusiastic presenter for busy season. Conducts kickoff presentations for fundraisers and reviews sale strategies with school to maximize school profits. Deliver/pick-up materials at local schools. Flexible schedule required. Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel in and around greater San Antonio area. Occasional overnight travel possible. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Customer service/sales experience preferred. Flat pay rate for each presentation plus commission. For right person, position duration may be extended with a greater focus on sales. This is a working schedule of sesquicentennial events scheduled for next year. As dates are confirmed, they will be added to this list.

May 1 -- J.H. Polley Day

May 8 -- Dr. Ella Ware Day, Stockdale Museum

May 15 -- La Vernia Bluebonnet Fest

May 15 - Floresville Lions Club rededication of kiddie park

May 30-31 -- American Legion Auxiliary Unit 38 dedication of a granite monument commemorating the existence of Unit since 1930. The monument will contain the date the Unit was established and the name of Unit presidents from the past to present.

June 12 - Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee Coronation

June 17-19 -- 66th annual Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee

July 4 -- Annual La Vernia Volunteer Fire Department BBQ

Aug. 14 -- BBQ Cook-Off sponsored by the Greater La Vernia Parks Foundation

Aug. 22 -- Immanuel Lutheran Church Community Festival

Sept. 11 -- Poth Ride to Remember

*Sept. 25 -- Sesquicentennial Celebration, Opening Time Capsule and Placing New Time Capsule

Sept 25 - American Legion Post 38 recognizes the 100-year history of the Boy Scouts and Troop 114 in Floresville as one of the oldest troops in the nation.

Oct. 2 -- Sutherland Springs New Town Day

Oct. 3 -- St. Ann’s Catholic Church Fall Festival, La Vernia

Oct. 5 -- Goober Games in Floresville

Oct. 7 -- Floresville Peanut Festival Coronation

Oct. 8-9 -- Floresville Peanut Festival

Nov. 6 & 7 -- The La Vernia Historical Association will sponsor the 6th Annual Chihuahua Trail Art Show & Sale.

The WEEA Chili Luncheon, February 12, will have a Valentine's Day Bake Sale in conjuction with the Chili Luncheon.
