Reals celebrate golden golden anniversary in Martinez

Wallace and Joyce (Baker) Real celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with many friends and family members Saturday, June 13, 2009, in the Martinez Social Club. The club was the site of their wedding reception 50 years ago.
The couple’s two children, Terri Luensmann and husband Mark and Judi Kosub and husband Tommy, along with their four grandchildren, Claire Luensmann and Brooke, Paige, and Meg Kosub, hosted the reception, dinner, and dance.
Members of the wedding party also celebrated with the couple, including best man Freddie Friesenhahn of Devine, maid of honor Raynelle (Baker) Stautzenberger of Seguin, bridesmaid Clara (Friesenhahn) Rechner of San Antonio, and flower girl Becky (Schulze) Baker of Kingsbury.
Among the many guests in attendance were some of the couple’s best friends, Charlie and Rosalie Mikolajczyk and Ralph and Etherine Riedel, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversaries June 20 and June 27, 2009, respectively.
Joyce and Wallace were married June 13, 1959, in St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Martinez and made their home in Converse, where they still reside today. |
