Rodney and JoyceAnn Reed of South Fork, Colo., and formerly of Pittsburg, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Rachel Jenna of Abilene, to Russell Lee Harred of Pleasanton, the son of Randall and Renelle Harred of Pleasanton.

Rachel is the granddaughter of Winston and Patsy Reed of Gainesville, and the late Robert and Joyce Spencer, formerly of Graham.

Russell is the grandson of Ace and Joyce Hale of San Antonio, the late Kenneth L. Harred, formerly of San Angelo, and Mrs. Stanley Jasik of Pleasanton and the late Stanley Jasik Sr.

The bride-elect, a 2004 graduate of Pittsburg High School, is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, with a degree in agricultural leadership and development and a minor in business. She is employed by Lone Star Ag Credit in Abilene as a loan officer.

The prospective groom, a 2004 graduate of Pleasanton High School, is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, with a degree in animal science and a minor in ag economics. He is currently working on his master’s degree in ag business at Texas A & M University and will graduate in December.

The couple will be united in marriage Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. A reception will follow at Our Place in downtown Pittsburg.
