Former teacher offers learning enhancement

LA VERNIA -- A therapy program that changes the way children process information is available at The Learning Enhancement Center.
Carol Eastin, an educator for nine years, established the business to offer this unique program to the local area. She also was interested in helping students who are struggling in school.
“It is not a tutoring program,” Eastin said.
Instead, the center uses NeuroNet, a program “that integrates all parts of the brain together in a profound manner,” according to literature about the center. This helps those with retention difficulties, as well as attention deficiency and memory-span issues.
The basic program lasts from eight to 12 months, with levels of training to be mastered before a student progresses. The program is done at home with parents monitoring progress, and can be used from infancy onward.
The Learning Enhancement Center is located at 133 Bluebonnet (F.M. 775) in La Vernia, and is open by appointment.
