The following information was obtained from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) Web site. The information is intended as a reference, but does not include every regulation for hunting within each county. For a complete guide, contact TPWD, or see the Web site at www.tpwd.state.tx.us.

Wilson County
White-tailed Deer -- Archery Season: Oct. 3-Nov. 6. No permit required to hunt antlerless deer unless MLD permits have been issued for the property. General Season: Nov. 7-Jan. 3. Antlerless deer may be taken by antlerless MLD permit or LAMPS permit only.
Special Youth-Only Season: Oct. 31-Nov. 1 and Jan. 4-17. Open to licensed hunters 16 years of age and younger.
Muzzleloader-Only Season: Jan. 4-17.
Antlerless bag limit: 2, by antlerless permit only.
Buck Bag Limit: 2. All seasons combined, antler restrictions apply.
Antler Restrictions: A legal buck deer has 1) at least one unbranched antler, or 2) an inside spread of 13 inches or greater. The inside spread requirement does not apply to any buck having an unbranched antler. These provisions do not apply on properties for which Level 2 or Level 3 MLDPs have been issued.

Javelina -- No closed season. Bag limit: 2 per license year.

Squirrel -- No closed season. No bag limit.

Turkey -- Archery Season: Oct. 3-Nov. 6.
Fall Season: Nov. 7-Jan. 3 (either sex).

White-tailed Deer -- Archery Season: Oct. 3-Nov. 6.
General Season: Nov. 7-Jan. 17.
Special Youth-Only Season: Oct. 31-Nov. 1, and Jan. 4-17. Open to licensed hunters 16 years of age and younger.
Special Late General Season: Jan. 18-31 (antlerless and spike bucks only).
Bag limit: 5 deer, no more than 2 bucks, all seasons combined. Antler restrictions apply.
