Benefit dinner, dance, poker tournament to help Flores

A benefit dinner, poker tournament, and dance are being planned for Debra Flores on Saturday, Nov. 21. Enjoy any or all of the events to help pay the medical expenses for Flores, and to help her family.
A barbecued chicken dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall in Floresville. Plates will be sold for $7 each, and a bake sale will also be held.
A benefit Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament will follow in the hall from 3-6 p.m. Arrive starting at 2:15 p.m. for a $20 buy-in with a $20 donation The dance will close out the evening in the VFW Hall in Poth from 8 p.m. to midnight, featuring the “Almost Famous Band” and special guests Billy “Chon” Herrera, Sunny Sauceda, and Marcos Orozco. A $10 donation will be taken at the door. Children ages 12 and under are free. For information about the dance, call 830-534-6937.
