It's DNC money. I think it would be bizarre if the DNC spent money to register Republican voters, or vice versa for the RNC.

Is there an allegation that this OFA is conducting some illegal activity?

Has the RNC spent money getting Democratic voters to the poll? Would you think that was a good use of their resources if they had?

The mandate is still in there. But the enforcement is gone. No crime for not paying the fines.

Rock 'n, I believe you are mistaken about the provision requiring everyone to buy insurance being taken out of the health reform bill....otherwise, why would there be several lawsuits filed against the Government on the grounds that it is not Constitutional to mandate anyone buy something just because they are a U S Citizen?

Not to worry, ya'll. Nobody will be required to buy anything because one of the things the Dems did behind those doors in secret was to quietly remove the wording that would make it a crime to not pay the fines. Unless they've now secretly put it back in, there will be no enforcement of the requirement through any kind of fines or liens.

Now, if you have a refund coming on your federal income taxes, they'll just get the money that way, but if everyone just estimates more accurately what they owe and don't overpay, Uncle Samksi won't be able to keep it.

Although much was made in the bill of the interstate commerce act as legal grounds to require health insurance, the actual fines for not buying it were always under the IRS enforcement provisions.

And, of course all of Obama's base were exempted from having to pay the fines straight out.

The bottom line is, almost nobody will purchase insurance that didn't have it before by their own choice.

Ken, the answer is no, no, no...the only way to straighten the course of the Washington ship is to fire everyone and start over with people who think, know, and believe they work for the voting public. The yahoos that are in Washington have been there so long that they believe THEY are the boss and we work for them...I'm going to do my part in November...there won't be any or maybe no encumbents on my check list. I'm beyond being dismayed, frustrated, and mad as hell. My prayer for today is a couple days without another of Obama's stupid remarks or speeches.

Have you heard B HUSSEIN O's latest flip flop? 1) When trying to get elected and get the health bill passed, he said he'd never raise taxes on anyone making under $250,000 2) The Health Bill made it mandatory for EVERYONE to buy health insurance 3) There are pending several lawsuits that contest Obama's constitutional authority to make any citizen buy anything 4) So, Obama is no longer saying that making everyone purchase health insurance is going to be assessed a 'fine', but that now everyone that doesn't buy health insurance will be assessed a 'TAX' 5) And, the Federal Government has almost unlimited power to assess taxes but no authority to make anyone buy anything 6) Hence, the flip flop...if anyone (mostly those that this will apply to will be lower income earners))doesn't buy insurance they will be taxed. This means that many people that make under $250000 will see their taxes go up. So, once again, he said one thing but when confronted with the Constitution, he changes terminolgy to skirt the law.

This current Government does not believe in checks and balances as our Founding Fathers implemented to control any one branch of government. This present administration only sees checks as balances as a speed bump and they must change the description, language, etc to use another method of skirting the spirit of the Checks and Balances. This Government is already about 4 times larger than I feel comfortable with.

OFA is part of the demo gang tasked to get more citizens (or non-citizens makes no difference to them) into the demo party and onto the welfare rolls. When the number on the take outnumbers those of us who pay, the demo party will never lose an election. This is their plan. The question is will real centrist democrats or the more conservative southern democrats (are there any left?) let the radical left in their party get away with this or will they put their Country before their party and put a stop to this socialist march.
