The only problem with your new found appreciation of the DOD is that you seem to forget that it is your liberal Democrat party that has been the party of anti-war, anti-military, anti-defense spending, anti- patriotism, anti-flag, and anti-America for about as long as anyone can remember.

Tell me this, Mr. fair weather, Armed Forces DOD patriot, why is it taking the world's greatest military that ever existed in the history of mankind so long to win a "war" against the world's most primitive country, a 3rd world tribal disaster that has no army, navy or airforce or infrastructure?

The America that you seem to hate so much and hope to change, the much more conservative, racist, chauvanistic, tradition loving, flag waving country of the 1940s managed to destroy and defeat the combined Axis powers of the German 3rd Reich, the Japanese Empire and Italy in about 4 1/2 years.

"Facts Only"...I remember harry Reid declaring that the war in Iraq had been lost while young men/women were still in the field fighting...I remember Murtha accused brave young soldiers of brutually killing civilians (all of which were exonerated later, but no apology from Murtha...I'm thinking maybe God took him for being a lying bastard!), I remember John Kerry accusing brave soldiers of kicking in doors at night and terrorizing the populace...I never heard an apology or a retraction. I never heard Obama refute these statements from anyone of these liberal zealots from his own party...about the only good think that I can say about Obama's war effort is that he seems to have kept some of President Bush's policies in place.

If you don't call putting a timeline for withdrawal 'retreating', what would you call it? He has given the enemy 'hope and change' that all they have to do is keep it together until the USA pulls out, then they'll be free to go in and recapture all the grounds they lost while America was in the house.

This President wants out of Afghanistan come hell or highwater...we all want out, but most of us want an honorable disembarkment, not the pull up of stakes and hightail it as fast as it is politically possible and to hell with the aftermath. We would have already been out of Afghanistan if it were up to Obama alone. I have no faith or trust in this Socialist to know how or what to do...he is not a foundation you can built your house on. He has gone to great lengths over the last 3 years to hide his true self and his real intentions, but everyone now and again I get an inkling of who and what he is, and it's very disturbing.

I can see it now....in the year 2036, Obama is running for his sixth term...we are still in recession and he is on tv explaining that he inherited a mess (George Bush is to blame) of an economy and it's just going to take a little time to get out of it...the Health Care Reform Act is totally in effect...the average life span has dropped 10 years...death panels are now deciding if anyone over 50 should have a bypass/cancer surgery...the credit rating of the Federal Government is the same as 'junk bonds'...Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California are now under control of the drug cartels and have been annexed by Mexico...The Constitution has been declared 'null and void' and Obama and his left wing socialist Party have written a new constitution with only one provision: "We make up the rules as we go along"...Trade and Cap is in effect and 20,000,000 jobs have left these shores and are now in China and India....China is now the major super power and the USA is pretty close to 3rd world status...The USA is no longer a permanent member of the UN Assembly,but Venezuela/Iran/Lebanon/Cuba are now permanent members...Christianity has been declared a pariah and now has the status of a cult religion and banned in many countries...We are now under Sharia Law and women no longer are allowed outside of their home, can not hold jobs or public office, are at the total mercy of their husbands and can no longer own property or vote...The super wealth in America has all but disappeared...the income tax rose to 90% and many Billionaires took their assets and moved them to China/India...And, now the wealthiest class in America make under $150000...Officials of Trade Unions are granted automatic and guaranteed seats in the Senate and Congress....Elections are no longer necessary since the merger of the 4 major unions with the executive branch has done away with the barbaric practive of voting and replaced it with the ability to appoint whomever they want to high office.

Of yes, I can envision it right now...Thank you Obama for being the reason such visions are no longer science fiction but plausible.
