Burn ban is back
Wilson County News December 13, 2010 | 2668 views | 8 comments
For at least the next 90 days, Wilson County is under a burn ban. This comes after a unanimous vote by the commissioners court at its Dec. 13 meeting.
Those living in unincorporated areas where trash pickup services are unavailable are permitted to burn household trash in screened burn barrels. This type of burning is only permitted during daylight hours.
Certain types of agricultural burning are still allowed, pending prior approval from the Wilson County Health and Public Safety Office. The office can be contacted at 830-393-8503.
For more, read the Dec. 15 print edition of the Wilson County News. |
