The Sam Fore Jr. Wilson County Public Library will host “Family Winter Reading Club Story Time” on Saturdays, beginning on Jan. 8 and running through Feb. 12 in the library, located at 1 Library Lane in Floresville.

Family story times are every Saturday at 10 a.m. All ages are encouraged to participate. Prizes will be awarded for reading and for posting reviews online.

This week’s featured titles are Stone Soup by Marcia

Brown, Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo, Paula Deen’s The Deen Family Cookbook, and Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously by Julie Powell.

A Chili Cook-Off will kick off the new Winter Reading Club on Jan. 8.
