ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Raymond D. “R.D.” McGee, 90, of Gonzales, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, in Gonzales. He was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Doole to Henry and Beulah (Pullen) McGee.

R.D. was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Abbott; twin sons; a sister, Beatrice O’Neal; and brothers Aubrey McGee, Sam McGee, John McGee, Hollis McGee, and J.B. McGee.

He is survived by daughters Bonnie Gardipee and husband John of Seattle, Wash., Arlene McGee of Lynden, Wash., and Sharon Suttle and husband Gary and Linda Wilson and husband Dru, all of Federal Way, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. R.D. is also survived by siblings Bessie Reeves of Gonzales, Hazel Spradling of Luling, Eunice Arnold of Nixon, Estelle Every of Gonzales, Don McGee of Leesville, and Harold McGee of Austin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 10-11 a.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in the Caraway Cemetery near Nixon.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
