John Dale Blandford, 39, of Nixon, Texas, died in his home on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. John was born in San Antonio on March 8, 1971, to John Kirk and Deborah Hoover Blandford.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John L. Blandford Jr.

John is survived by his mother, Debbie Ransom and husband George of Canyon Lake; his father, John Kirk Blandford and wife Vanessa of La Vernia; his brothers, George Ransom III, Darryl Wayne Blandford, and Samuel Allen Ransom, all of Canyon Lake; his grandmothers, Joyce King of New Braunfels and Hazel Blandford of La Vernia; and his grandfather, Jesse L. Hoover of Von Ormy.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 3 p.m. in the Nockenut Cemetery in Wilson County, with the Rev. Michael Cowey officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
