John McShan Hartsell, 77, formerly of Pandora, Texas, died on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, in his home in Corpus Christi. He was born in Lohn on Nov. 15, 1933, to John and Jewel McShan Hartsell.

John Mac was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Frances Gwynel Hartsell.

He is survived by his sons, Duane Hartsell and wife Sharon of Hebbronville and Scott Hartsell and wife Doris of Nixon; his sisters, Margaret Finch of Pleasanton and Mary Gerecke of Waco; his grandchildren, Rebecca Sandoval, Lee Jay Hartsell, Phil Rob Hartsell, and Raven Hartsell; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 1, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jimmy Kennedy officiating.

Interment followed in the Nixon Cemetery in Nixon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
