Maverick sold, now River Bend Golf Club of Floresville
FLORESVILLE -- The Maverick Golf Club is now the River Bend Golf Club of Floresville. The club was recently sold and is now owned and operated by the Pleasanton Country Club.
“It is a new day, a new attitude, with new carts, and many more new improvements to come,” said River Bend General Manager David Ogrin in an e-mail newsletter.
According to Ogrin, River Bend is going to be “semi-private,” meaning the club is offering memberships. Membership will include use of the golf course, the soon-to-be-renovated dining room, soon-to-be-built swimming pool and tennis court, and reciprocity with the Pleasanton Country Club.
Membership fees are $100 per month for single members, and $150 for family memberships. The new rates for course play for non-members are $29 on weekdays and $39 on weekends. Senior and military discounts are also available. Cart fees are $12 for half a cart, based on two riders per cart. Driving-range fees vary from $3 to $9.
For more information, call Ogrin at 830-216-2800 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org .
