Kathleen Margaret (Dudek) Hudek passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at the age of 74. She was born on March 20, 1936. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and loyal friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; her twin baby boys; her parents, John and Olivia (Lyssy) Dudek; her sister, Janie Dudek; and her brother, Robert Dudek.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelley Fulmer and husband Perry, Sandra Hudek, and Lorelee Hudek; her grandchildren, Tammy, LaToya, Lionel, Wayne, Joe, Desiree, and Chad; and her great-grandchildren, Madison, Emma, Davonte, Jessica, Bella, and Troy; her best friend, Susie Rocamontes; extended family; and many friends.

She was a real people person and enjoyed her flea market booth, garage sales, spending time outdoors at her ranch, and volunteering for the Special Olympics. She loved going out to dinner and holiday functions with family and friends, and enjoyed her Spurs and Cowboys. In addition to always enjoying a good party, she adored Elvis, so it came as no surprise to her family that she went to heaven in time for his birthday.

A visitation was held from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio, Texas.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.

Interment will follow in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in St. Hedwig.
