Offer condolences

Ronald Leo Toudouze Sr., a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at 5:25 a.m. in the Odyssey Healthcare in San Antonio at the age of 61 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

Ron was born Feb. 26, 1949, in Dallas to Leo Milton and Dorothy Marie Traber Toudouze. After graduating from Alamo Heights High School, Blinn Junior College, and Our Lady of the Lake University, Ron worked as a Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy and a probation officer with Bexar County for many years. Ron married Barbara Polhemus on Oct. 5, 1977, in San Antonio. Ron was a member of the San Antonio Golf Association and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Leo Milton Toudouze.

Ron is survived by his wife of more than 33 years, Barbara Toudouze of San Antonio; his children, Samantha Mann, Bonnie Sutton, and Ronald Leo Toudouze Jr., all of San Antonio, Janet Stockton of Kosciusko, and Sean Michael Toudouze and Brandon J. Toudouze, both of San Antonio; his brother, August Toudouze and wife Kelly of San Antonio; his sister, Mary Annette Wittig and husband Vincent of San Antonio; his mother, Dorothy Traber Toudouze; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville with Deacon Evan Wittig officiating.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.
