Lorene Koepp, 88, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011. She was born on May 20, 1922, in La Vernia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward T. and Lucille (Pierdolla) Kosub, and her husband, Billie Koepp.

Lorene is survived by her sons, Michael Koepp and wife Georgia of La Vernia and Mark Koepp and wife Karen of La Vernia; her daughter, Melba Ramzinski and husband Vernon; her grandchildren and their children, Lisa Clore and husband Walter and son Reagen, Christopher Koepp, Matthew Koepp and wife Alicia and children Mason and Mattison, Kyle Koepp and wife Jenni and son Landyn, Tamara Hansmann and husband D.J., Ryan Ramzinski and wife Kit and children Emily and Lane, and Roxann Gray and husband Matt and children Dillon and Luke; and her nieces, Sandra Grist of San Antonio and JoAnn Calfee of Portland, Ore.

A visitation took place on Sunday, Jan. 9, from 4-6 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia. A funeral service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Robert Palan officiating.

Interment followed in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in La Vernia.
