Twenty-five junior high and high school students from Blessed Sacrament Church in Poth plan to give up a week of their summer to spend time growing stronger in their faith and making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate, but they need your help to make it happen.

These students, along with four adult chaperones, will spend the week of July 25-29 attending a Christian-based mission camp in Waco. During the camp, students will be volunteering their time and talents. Possible work sites include running Vacation Bible School camps for younger children, working in nursing or assisted-living homes to help with the elderly, working in a soup kitchen, or repairing homes for the elderly and less fortunate in the community. Students also will spend time in fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

The students are raising the funds to attend the camp. The cost of sending the group is more than $10,000. Students have already been fund-raising and will continue to raise money in the coming months. Donations are also being accepted. Make checks payable to Blessed Sacrament Church. On the memo line, indicate that the check is for Mission Camp and mail to Blessed Sacrament Church, P.O. Box 339, Poth, TX 78147.
