Every month one student from each East Central Independent School District campus is recognized as the Superintendent’s Student of the Month. Criteria for selection are academic performance, attendance, citizenship, and community and school service.

Students selected to be Superintendent’s Students of the Month for December 2010 are:

East Central Development Center -- Olivia Guajardo; Harmony Elementary -- Douglas Bryant; Highland Forest Elementary -- Noah Gonzalez; John Glenn Elementary -- Shaun Ferry; Pecan Valley Elementary -- Justin Chute; Sinclair Elementary -- Clayton Peltier; Oak Crest Intermediate -- Coby Sutton; Salado Intermediate -- Cody Young; E.C. Heritage Middle School -- Kyle Mejia; E.C. Legacy Middle School -- Robert Gutierrez; East Central High School -- Joseph Flores.
