Texas Lutheran University (TLU) has announced that it has established a $50,000 endowed scholarship in memory of TLU student Elisa Marie Suarez.

The first recipient of the scholarship is Gennie Flores, a math major who is currently a freshman at TLU.

Elisa was studying mathematics and planned to pursue a career in coaching. The Elisa Marie Suarez Endowed Scholarship award will be given on an annual basis to a Hispanic female who is majoring in math.

For more information about the scholarship, contact the TLU Development office at 830-372-8030 or e-mail development@tlu.edu .
