ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Falls City wins three of four with Kenedy

The Falls City Junior High School Beavers and Beaverettes played Kenedy this past week and won three out of four games.

On the girls side of things, the Beaverettes took care of business and handed the Lady Lions a pair of losses. The seventh-grade team won 37-10, and the eighth-grade team won 34-8.

In the seventh-grade game, Alexis Sekula led the way for Falls City with 10 points, followed by Kaelan Cheatham and Hannah Lyssy with 6 points each. Madison Brysch scored 4 points for the Beaverettes, Amber Pawelek was good for 3, and Brittany Lyssy, Abby Lubbock, Sara Moore, and Shelby Elkins each scored another 2 points.

For the eighth-grade team, Haleigh Blocker was the leading scorer with 10 points, followed by Grace Dziuk, Harlie Bronder, and Kali Dragon with 4 points each. Kayla Jendrusch, Alexus Lyssy, Madison Olinick, Jennifer Pruski, and Chloe Wilson each scored 2 points in the game.

During the boys games, the “B” team won by the score of 39-4, but the “A” team lost, 44-27.

Kaleb Hons and Chase Ramsey led the Beaver “B” team to victory with 11 and 10 points apiece, respectively. Jeremiah Corey scored 8 for the Beavers, Mitch Lyssy scored 6 points, and Jacob Pruski tossed in another 4.

For the “A” team, William Stolle led the Beaver scoring effort with 9 points, followed by Conner Jendrusch with 7 points, and Gabe Jimerson with another 5. Kolton Pollok. Connor Dziuk, and Kyle Bronder each scored 2 points for Falls City.
