U.S. Navy Seaman Raymond “Tyler” Johnson is a graduate of the Navy Recruit Training command, following graduation exercises on Oct. 17, 2010, in Great Lakes, Ill.

Johnson, a 2010 graduate of Floresville High School, is stationed in Groton, Conn., at the New London Submarine Base, where he graduated from basic enlisted submarine school. He is training in a technical apprenticeship for communications.

The seaman is the son of Mendy and Jeff Kiolbassa of Floresville and Raymond Johnson of Bremen, Ala. His grandparents are Robert and Genevieve Bohmer of Floresville, Pat and Eddie James of Hanceville, Ala., Junior and Joyce Fuller of Vinemont, Ala., and Ann Johnson of Birmingham, Ala. His siblings, Heather Johnson and Alex and Chandler Kiolbassa, are extremely proud of their brother.
