Charles Thomas Ketner, 32, of Boerne, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011. He was born in Caldwell, Idaho, on May 5, 1978.

He graduated from Colorado City High School. Charles had worked in the oil fields near Big Spring, as well as with his father at PJ’s Wrecker Service in Colorado City. He had also been employed by Midway Wrecker Service in Kerrville, San Antonio, and Boerne. His hobbies included listening to music and cooking barbecue.

Survivors include his parents, Patrick Jay and Charlotte Ann (Couch) Crow of Colorado City; two sons, Jayden Ketner of Boerne and Charles “CJ” Ketner of Nixon; his daughter, Hailey Ketner of Seguin; and sisters Tonya Cooper of Colorado City, Gigitte Taft of Boerne, and Christina Bolt of Colorado City. He is also survived by two grandfathers, Charles Thomas Couch of Caldwell, Idaho, and Jim Crow of Pocatello, Idaho; two grandmothers, Betty Darnell of Loraine and Sherry LeDuc of Caldwell, Idaho; six nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.

The family received friends Friday, Jan. 21, from 5-7 p.m. in the Christian Temple Church in Colorado City.

A memorial service was held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the church.
