CASA VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION. Provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that abused children’s best interests are represented in court. Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and presentation communication skills. Must be available to work intermittent evenings/weekends with some travel.  Must have personal car, current TDL, and auto liability insurance. Roger Franklin Crouch, 51, of Smiley, Texas, died on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, in Temple. He was born in Augusta, Ark., on Jan. 7, 1960. Roger attended the Church of Christ and was a member of the World Senior Pro Bull Riders Association.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Juanita Baldwin and Elmer Pete and Mattie Crouch.

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Aplin) Crouch of Smiley; his four daughters, Adrianna Mitchell and husband Nic, and Pamela Crouch, all of Guntersville, Ala.; and Taylor Carrington and Jordan Carrington, both of Smiley; his son, Ethan Crouch of Plaquemine, La.; his grandson, Landon Mitchell of Guntersville; his parents, Franklin Leroy and Ella Louise (Baldwin) Crouch of Hickory Ridge, Ark.; his brother, Adrian Crouch and wife Tammy of Marion, Ark.; his sister, Cassie Parish and husband Tommy of Wynne, Ark.; his mother-in-law, Elaine Aplin of Enterprise, Ala.; his father-in-law, James Aplin and wife Jennifer of Enterprise; his nieces, Megan Crouch, Lauren Parish, and Micah Parish; his nephew, Aaron Crouch; numerous aunts and uncles; his bull riding rodeo family; and many “adopted” children and loving friends.

A visitation was held on Friday, Jan. 21, from 5-7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A memorial service was held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Nixon with the Rev. Ronnie Christian officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roger Crouch Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Nixon State Bank, P.O. Box 188, Nixon, TX 78140.
