5K run helps celebrate Catholic Schools Week

SAN ANTONIO -- The Hope for the Future fourth annual 5K Run with a Mission event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 5, beginning at 8:15 a.m. in Mission County Park. The event is held each year as part of Catholic Schools Week, and San Antonio Bishop Oscar Cantu will participate. Funds raised will provide tuition assistance for Hope for the Future.

The entry fee is $25 per person, or $12 for those who choose to participate in the 2-mile walk. A kids run for those 11 and under will also be held, and participation is $5. Discounts will be offered to teams of 10 or more, with the 5K run costing $15, and the 2-mile walk costing $10 per person. Registration is available online at www.iaapweb.com.
