Help Wanted

CASA VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION. Provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that abused children’s best interests are represented in court. Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and presentation communication skills. Must be available to work intermittent evenings/weekends with some travel.  Must have personal car, current TDL, and auto liability insurance. Flo Blackwell O’Leary of Poth, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.

Flo was born April 6, 1944, in Ragtown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irish Mike O’Leary Sr., and her daughter, Polly O’Leary.

Flo is survived by her sons, Irish O’Leary II and wife Liana, Shawn O’Leary and wife Claire, and Shane O’Leary and wife Jodie; her sisters, Billie Grantham of Luling, Margaret Kuntschik of San Antonio, and Dora Gulley; her brother, Buck Blackwell of Luling; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
