ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Flo Blackwell O’Leary of Poth, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011.

Flo was born April 6, 1944, in Ragtown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irish Mike O’Leary Sr., and her daughter, Polly O’Leary.

Flo is survived by her sons, Irish O’Leary II and wife Liana, Shawn O’Leary and wife Claire, and Shane O’Leary and wife Jodie; her sisters, Billie Grantham of Luling, Margaret Kuntschik of San Antonio, and Dora Gulley; her brother, Buck Blackwell of Luling; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
