According to the Austin-San Antonio National Weather Service Forecast Office, the cold temperatures will remain for the next few days. Wind chill values in the single digits to near zero are expected tonight through Thursday morning, when actual temperatures could dip into the teens.

The weather prompted organizers of the East Central Citizens Forum meeting -- scheduled for Feb. 2 in Adkins -- to cancel the event. Other cancellations have followed.
