The 54th annual La Vernia Junior Livestock & Poultry Show and Auction Sale will be held Thurday through Saturday, Feb. 24-26, in the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce located off U.S. 87 in La Vernia.

The La Vernia Junior Livestock & Poultry Executive Board members remind anyone wishing to make a donation to the buyer’s pool to visit the booth set up at the show or send their contribution to the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce Buyer’s Pool, P.O. Box 152, La Vernia, TX 78121.

Donations received as part of the buyer’s pool are used as bids throughout the auction to ensure that all auction winners are kept at a steady price; they also average out low numbers following the sale. Individual add-ons to exhibitors are recognized through publication in local newspapers.

All dollar amounts are accepted, as every little bit adds to the overall totals that can go to assist each youth exhibitor toward the completion of a successful project, adding to their funds for college and future work-force endeavors.

For more information, call Mark Koepp, executive board president, at 210-288-9889; or Sarah Young at 830-947-3322 or 210-259-9886.
