The Floresville High School UIL One-Act Play team is currently practicing hard for its upcoming performances under the direction of Tiffany K. Polasek.

The students will begin their performances with a clinic at San Antonio College on Saturday, Feb. 12. This performance will be seen exclusively by a judge, who will help with critiquing the play to better prepare the team for open-to-the-public showings.

The show will go on at Wimberley High School on Friday, Feb. 25, in the Wimberley Theatre Festival. At this public event, people are welcome to join and support the Floresville High School UIL One-Act Play company. Entry will be $5 at the Wimberley High School Lonestar Theatre; arrive around 2:30 p.m. to be sure you can see the show. Students have a chance to earn various awards and honors at this festival.

On Thursday, March 10, at 7 p.m. the troupe will hold a public dress rehearsal for all community members in Floresville High School’s Wiley Seale Auditorium on Tiger Lane. Admission will be $4 per person, free for ages 4 and under.

District competition will be held on Saturday, March 26, at Gregory Portland High School.

To ask questions or to donate gently used props, such as furniture, books, suitcases, kitchen items, or clothing items, e-mail or call 830-393-5370, ext. 1045.

“Your junk is our treasure,” Polasek said.
