Rebecca Bird of Stockdale, Texas, is proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Rachel Rebecca of Seguin, to Joshua Daniel Lake of Seguin, the son of Lawrence Lake of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wendy and Stephan Ambrose of Cedar Park, Texas.

The bride, also the daughter of the late Kenneth Bird, formerly of Stockdale, is the granddaughter of Roberta Bird of Stockdale.

Rachel, a 2001 graduate of Stockdale High School, is currently employed with Continental Automotive Systems.

Joshua, a 2002 graduate of Mt. Miguel High School in San Diego, Calif., is also employed with Continental Automotive Systems.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Nolte Island in Seguin, Texas, with Gary Irwin officiating.
