ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Offer condolences

Nellie Knopp, 92, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Mikolajczyk and Victoria Sczodrok; and her husband, Bruno Knopp.

Nellie is survived by her son, Jimmie Zigmond and wife Gladys; her daughters, Rose Frank and Florence Real and husband Raymond; her grandson, Alphons “Rusty” Zigmond and wife Cheryl; her granddaughters, Bonnie Kinnebrew and husband John, Jackie Boening and husband Steve, and Lisa Ahlert; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Ahlert, Cheyenne, Chaely, and Colton Zigmond, Evan and Ryan Kinnebrew, and Morgan, Casey, and Kelley Boening; and her brother, Alex Mikolajczyk and wife Clara.

A visitation took place on Sunday, Feb. 6, from 4-7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m.

A Mass was held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, with Father Bill Zadora officiating.

Interment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bill Zigmond, Marion Zigmond, Elvin Mikolajczyk, John Kinnebrew, Steve Boening, and Alphons “Rusty” Zigmond.

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
