Eleanor Pollok, 70, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, since 1961, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011. She was born May 19, 1940, in Cestohowa to Frank and Theresa Pawlik Jurgajtis. Eleanor graduated from Falls City High School and married Adrian L. Pollok on Oct. 7, 1961, in Cestohowa. She retired from USAA in San Antonio after 35 years of employment, and then returned to the insurance business, working part time for Turpin & Turpin Insurance Agency. Eleanor was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George Jurgajtis; and an infant sister, Rose Ann Jurgajtis.

She is survived by her husband, Adrian Pollok of San Antonio; her sons, Russell Pollok and wife Diane of Falls City and Richard Pollok and wife Natalie of Panna Maria; her grandchildren, Katie and Kolton Pollok of Falls City; her brother, Norbert James Jurgajtis; and her sister, Dorothy McCuistion.

A rosary was recited on Friday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa.

Interment followed in the Cestohowa Cemetery in Cestohowa.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
