East Central FFA excels
SAN ANTONIO -- Members of the East Central FFA continue their winning ways. East Central FFA advisors took 21 students to compete as teams in wildlife, poultry, livestock, and floriculture contests Jan. 15 at the Cibolo Creek Contest.
The floriculture evaluation team won first in overall competition with three of the team members placing in the top ten individually. Team members included Amy Castleman, first; Christi Schick, second; and Brooke Kosub, fifth; and Amber Kerns.
The livestock evaluation team which placed fourth overall, also had team members placing in the top 10. Team members included Holden Black, fifth place; Haily Marshall, eighth place; Frank Aniol, Ty Baird, Jessica Berry, Cole Franckowiak, Jordan Hevner, Diamond Mouton, and Kaylee Reed.
The poultry evaluation team, comprised of Kyle Brown, Emileigh Geistweidt, Stepheni Geistweidt, Bethany Michalec, Robin Ott, Jared Pieniazek, and Evan Pieniazek, placed sixth overall.
The wildlife evaluation team of Fernando Ramos and Levi Hevner placed 11th overall.
Ray Pieniazek, Danny Kempen, and Lorie Kempen served as advisors for these teams.
