Immanuel Lutheran Church is now hiring for a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Pastoral: Minister to youth and their families during Sunday School and other church programs, being present in their lives outside the church walls, available for common concerns and in crisis situations. Leadership: Recruit and nurture Youth and Family Ministry program. Administration : Manage the planning process and coordinate with Pastor and Youth Committee all regular ministries to youth and their families. This includes youth of all ages on Sunday mornings and mid-week events; assisting with Confirmation, special events, trips and retreats, and parent meetings. Stewardship: Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of youth programs, manage youth ministry budget, and collaborate with the sponsors of each Youth group. Ability to build, lead, and empower youth. Ability to implement a ministry vision. Familiarity with Lutheran Doctrine required; must be comfortable teaching it and representing Lutheran Theology. Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, email, internet, and social media. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to adapt and evaluate curriculum preferred. Must have excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and listening skills, with a high degree of initiative and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills required, with sensitivity to church members and visitors. Understanding and enjoyment of youth and families and guiding their spiritual development. Beaverettes go unbeaten through District 31-1A play

The Falls City Beaverette basketball team defeated the Lady Marlins of Port Aransas 73-26 to sweep the district with a perfect 8-0 record.

Scoring for Falls City were Chelsey Stolle with 27 points, Camari Crawford with 14, Jacy Gibson with 12, and Tiffany Dziuk with 10 points. Maggie Holz scored 4 for Falls City, Kelsi Salziger threw in 3 points, Liz Stulting scored 2, and Alysson Bluhm added another point to the board.

The Beaverettes finished 21-3 overall on the season. Squad members include seniors Krystal Noll, Kelsi Salziger, Maggie Holz, Jillian Balser, Jacy Gibson, Chelsey Stolle, and Liz Stulting; juniors Ashleigh Blocker, Alysson Bluhm, Hatti Foster, Kaitlyn Jarzombek, and Camari Crawford; and sophomores Kayla Kotara, Tiffany Dziuk, and Katie Johnson. The managers are Ashley Lyssy and Tatum Braun, filmers are Jennifer Kotara and Shaw Moy, and the water girl is Haleigh Blocker. The Beaverettes are coached by Brian Osuna and assisted by Chuck Balser.

While the junior varsity team did not play against Port Aransas, the team closed out its season with a 6-0 district record and was undefeated for the season with a 13-0 record.

Squad members for the junior varsity team are Katie Johnson, Quincy Olenick, Taylor Moy, Taylor Dziuk, Kendall Jurgajtis, Addison Jaskinia, Alyssa Dziuk, Reagan Ehlers, Shaw Moy, Emily Witatrek, Amber Pruski, Kayla Purcell, Teree Jendrusch, Ashlee Mennen, Shianne Brysch, and Kristen Jendrusch. The junior varsity water girl is Madison Hartmann.
