Do you have questions or need help applying or paying for college? Floresville High School will host a financial aid night Tuesday, March 1, from 3-6 p.m. in the Internet lab. College financial advisors will be available to help complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and high school counselors and Alamo Colleges representatives will be available to answer and assist with Apply Texas applications.

Do you need help with FAFSA? Now is the time of year to start organizing and preparing your taxes as early as possible. Your family will need to bring tax information to apply for financial aid for college. By applying for FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov, a Student Aid Report (SAR) is generated, stating eligibility for grants, work study, or student loans.

To file a FAFSA, both a parent and student need a pin number to file and sign electronically. Pin numbers are available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Electronic filing allows for faster response and easier corrections. Plus electronically, it can be sent to numerous schools. Items needed are: Social Security card, driver license, 2010 W-2 Forms and other records of money earned, parent’s and student’s 2010 Federal Income Tax Return, current bank statements, and current business and investment records (mortgage, farm, stock, bonds).

Families and students from Floresville High School, Falls City High School, Poth High School, and Stockdale High School are invited to attend.
