Albert Rufus Seguin Sr. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 75. He was born in San Antonio on Aug. 25, 1935, but spent his entire life in Elmendorf.

He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Elmendorf.

Albert is survived by his wife, Olivia Seguin of Elmendorf; his daughters, Sandra Seguin of Elmendorf and Norma Tamez and husband Raul of San Antonio; his sons, John Seguin and wife Sharon and Albert Seguin Jr., both of San Antonio, Mariano Seguin and wife Zinda of Marrieta, Calif., and Alex Seguin and wife Brandy of Elmendorf; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A family visitation was held on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. A public visitation was held from noon until 7 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Elmendorf, at which time a rosary was recited.

A funeral Mass followed on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Elmendorf.

Pallbearers were Mariano Seguin, Alex Seguin, Brandi Seguin, Cody Seguin, Lawrence Levario, and Andreas Levario.
