FLORESVILLE (Revised) -- Two Floresville men have been taken into custody Feb. 16 following a high-speed pursuit on U.S. 181 here.

Joe Tellez and his brother, Roger, were apprehended near the intersection of U.S. 181 and Sutherland Springs Road at approximately 7:15 p.m. This was after Joe Tellez allegedly led members of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, Floresville Police Department, and Texas Department of Public Safety on a chase that started south of Floresville.

Joe Tellez is charged with evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and other charges are pending, said Sgt. Thomas Silvas of the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office. Roger Tellez is charged with interference with public duties. Bond has not been set for either of the men as both are awaiting an appearance before a magistrate judge.
