Junior high Beavers, Beaverettes finish year with wins

The Falls City Junior High School Beavers and Beaverettes ended their season last week with wins against Runge. The girls defeated the Yellowjackets 41-15, and the boys won 40-22.

In the girls game, Haleigh Blocker led the way for Falls City with 15 points, followed by Kaelan Cheatham with 6 points. Grace Dziuk, Harlie Bronder, Kali Dragon, and Chloe Wilson each scored 4 points for the Beaverettes, and Kayla Jendrusch added another 2.

During the Beavers’ game, William Stolle was the high scorer with 11 points, followed by Conner Dziuk with 10, Conner Jendrusch with 7, and Zach Jimerson with 5 points. Dayton Jaskinia, Gabe Jimerson, and Kaleb Hons each scored 2 points, and Kolton Pollok dropped in a free throw.

The Falls City boys “A” team finished the year with an 8-2 record, and the “B” team finished the year with a 6-0 mark. The boys were coached by Josh Haws. The seventh-grade Beaverettes finished the year with a 7-0 record, and the eighth-grade girls earned a 9-1 record. The girls were coached by Terry Lyssy and Tammy Kirchhoff.
