The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory will sponsor a 2011 Earth Day poster contest and encourages all kindergarten through fifth-grade students to participate.

The theme of this year’s contest is “A Billion Acts of Green” -- mobilizing the power of people to create change by taking small steps in our homes, our schools, and our businesses that add up to an enormous collective action.

The deadline for receiving poster contest entries is Monday, March 7.
