Juan G. Gonzales, 47, passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Floresville on Aug. 6, 1962, to Eutimio Gonzales and Felipa Garza.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

Juan is survived by his daughter, Jessica Gonzales of Dallas; his son, Juan Gonzales Jr. of San Antonio; and sisters Maggie Vidal of Sutherland Springs, Betty Gonzales of Austin, and Lillie Gonzales and Rosa Garcia, both of San Antonio. He is also survived by his brothers, Freddy Gonzales of Luling, Tony Gonzales of Dallas, Eutimio Gonzales Jr. and Jerry Gonzales, both of Stockdale, and Paul Gonzales and Rudy Gonzales, both of Sutherland Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary was recited Thursday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral Mass was held Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, with the Rev. Phil Henning as celebrant.

Interment followed in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery in Sutherland Springs.
