After dominating the season with a 26-3 record, the Falls City Beaverettes had high hopes of making it all the way to the state championship game. On March 3, Falls City played the Martin’s Mill Lady Mustangs in the state semifinals in the Frank Erwin Cener on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Although the Beaverettes put up a tough fight, the Lady Mustangs came out on top 49-31 and advanced to the state championship. . . .
