Students at Floresville High School will have an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career options when FHS hosts its annual Career Day on Friday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

FHS has been hosting Career Day for the past 10 years. Career Day is a great opportunity for students to explore career options and hear firsthand what it is like to work in a specific career field. This year’s event will again cater to the interests and needs of the student body. Approximately 70 presenters spanning 16 career cluster areas will be on hand to visit with students about the various career fields. Presenters will address a range of topics, including necessary high school courses and post-secondary education, job availability, and job requirements and responsibilities.

“Career Day is an important part of our students’ education and we appreciate the information and time presenters will be sharing with our students,” said Marie Maierhofer, Career and Technology Education coordinator.

In addition to visiting career booths, students will also meet with counselors for a college preparation presentation and will watch a dynamic, exciting, and motivational skateboarder/break dancer.

For more information or to sign up as a presenter, contact Marie Maierhofer at 830-393-5370, ext. 1135, or at mmaierhofer
